Join us for two great SEAL Virtual Training webinars in September!

The countdown clock is ticking down to the annular eclipse on October 14 2023! As part of the Solar Activities for Libraries (SEAL) project, STAR Net is hosting virtual training webinars to prepare librarians to host programming around both the annular eclipse in October and the upcoming total solar eclipse in April 2024.

We have two great webinars coming up in September:

SEAL Virtual Training: Eclipse Programming Share-a-Thon September 12 2023 11 AM PT/12 PM MT/1 PM CT/2 PM ET

STAR Net is hosting a freeform discussion for librarians to share programming ideas, ask each other questions, and discuss events for both the 2023 annular and 2024 total eclipses. We’re hoping for a lively discussion where y’all share your great programming ideas, the more the merrier!

SEAL Virtual Training: Preparing for Eclipse Day September 27 2023 10 AM PT/11 AM MT/12 PM CT/1 PM ET

You’ve got your SEAL eclipse viewing glasses, you have your programming ideas…but what happens the big day? Join STAR Net for this webinar to help you get ready for the day of the eclipse. We’ll be sharing insights from a survey of librarians who hosted programming for the last big American eclipse in 2017 and discussing how to prepare for the the things you can (and can’t) control on the day of the eclipse.
