Noel Taylor is a writer at Resume Brisbane, and people comparing the best resume writers Brisbane has to offer often ask for him when they are over 50 and worried that their age will count against them. He keeps the focus on the last ten to fifteen years, where the most relevant work usually sits, and shortens earlier roles to a line or two. Dates of graduation are left off where they add nothing, and the wording is kept modern and specific, so the resume reads as current instead of dated. Noel also makes sure that skills with software, online tools and remote or team-based work are easy to see, since employers often assume older applicants lack them. Long service with one employer is shown as growth, with changes of role, new responsibilities and results set out clearly. He writes in plain Australian English, keeps the length to a clean two pages and can prepare a matching cover letter or LinkedIn profile if the client wants one.
