Come Play at the PLIX Play Cafe
Who doesn’t like to get goodies in the mail?
How about free surprises to play with?
This summer PLIX – the Public Library Innovation Exchange at the MIT Media Lab wants to be pen pals with librarians across the country. They planned 11 ‘play cafe’ times on Wednesday afternoons through the summer with 4 different themes. There’s still time to sign up to receive the goodie package, complete with tea and a snack (yum!), for the August activities. The theme will be paper circuits.
I can barely wait to see what will be in the package!
I’ve had a lot of success and fun doing paper circuits with t’weens. It’s great to see their eyes light up as brightly as LED’s when their paper and copper tape projects come together!
To see the activities that occurred earlier in the summer, check out the forums.
The deadline to sign up to receive the supplies for August is August 9, so go on and sign up now. Then watch the mail for an envelope from your new pen pal!
After you sign up, check out the activities and self-guided training opportunities PLIX offers.
