Hello. My name is Dawn Davies. I am an amateur astronomer, science educator, creator, geek, wife, mother, and, most of all, a lover of dark nights and clear skies.

During the week, you can find me traversing Central Texas as the Night Sky Program Manager and Lead for the Hill Country Eclipse Team for Hill Country Alliance. On the weekends, when the sun is up or the clouds, I’m usually out and about with my husband and our twelve-year-old son. After sunset, I’m likely to be found under the stars with one of my telescopes, sharing the wonders of the universe with others. I especially love conversing with others about the world of astronomy-based citizen science and constellation myth.

Earthbound Astronomer is an online hub for science communicators and amateur astronomers alike. We provide open-source educational resources, conduct astronomy events, and, most importantly, are founded on the principles of inclusivity, accessibility, and ASTRONOMY FOR ALL!
